- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)

- Cut in 1 cup cold butter cubes until mixture resembles coarse crumbs
- Gradually stir in 1 cup buttermilk until dough forms
- Knead dough gently on floured surface
- Roll out to 1/2 inch thickness and cut into 3-inch rounds
- Place on baking sheet and chill 10 minutes
- Bake 12-15 minutes until golden
- Transfer to a wire rack to cool
