  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup (150g) chocolate chips (dark, milk, or white)

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Melt butter, let cool slightly.
  3. Whisk sugars and melted butter until smooth.
  4. Beat in egg and vanilla extract.
  5. Add flour, baking soda, and salt; mix until combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips uniformly.
  7. Scoop 30g dough balls onto prepared sheet.
  8. Bake 12-14 minutes until edges golden but centers soft.

Notes

Use room temperature egg for better emulsification
To make ahead: refrigerate dough balls 30 minutes before baking
Substitute 200g oat flour mixes 1:1 with regular flour
Melted chocolate works in place of chips
